Let’s be real, folks we need to bandy Stardew Valley’s love life. Having spent far too numerous hours playing this game( and by” far too numerous” I mean * far * too numerous), I have developed some opinions about who is really worth your attention and who you can safely just give a birthday gift every week and be done with.
Then is the thing everybody’s gon na say” all the marriage prospects are awful in their own right!” But come on then. Some of them are obviously better life matches than others, and I am not going to sugarcoat it just to be polite.
Fair advising: There are some slight spoilers to come, but nothing that’ll spoil the major story beats.
The” Thanks, But No Thanks” Tier

Harvey- The Awkward Doc Guy
Harvey’s the joe who probably peaked in med academy and has been skimming ever ago. He is got a respectable job being the city croaker, sure, but his people chops are. questionable. Half the time you can not indeed track him down because he is just kind of walking around looking lost.
And can we bandy the fact that he allows you to storm into his office while he is treating other cases? That is not sexy, that is a law suit in the timber. In any factual city, this character would have had his medical license abandoned times agone
.
Penny- Sweet, But Kinda Boring

Penny’s really nice, do not get me wrong. She’s floundering with her mama ‘s dependence to booze while tutoring children and featuring about love novels. I admire that. But as a personality? She’s about as thrilling as makeup drying. still, Penny’s the bone for you, If you want someone who is no way gonna ruffle your feathers or gemstone the boat. If you ask someone with a bit more oomph. keep searching.
Leah- The Citable Artist

I understand that folks like Leah, but really? I forget she’s indeed around half the time. She has that entire” tortured artist who lives in the forestland” vibe, which in conception is stupendous, but in reality she’s just. present.
Her only redeeming quality is that 14- heart scene, and it’s actually really good. But a single good cutscene can not compensate for an else boring personality. She’s Bette Figure off staying single and concentrating on her art anyway.
The” Meh, Could Be Worse” Tier
Maru- Too Good For This Place

Maru’s intelligent, driven, and has her life in order. She’s making robots and probing stars when everybody differently is just trying to get their lives together. The catch she’s obviously meant for further than Pelican Town.
Marriage to Maru is like keeping the coming Einstein in your fund. She should be off studying at some precious university, not getting wedded and living on a ranch. It’s cute that she would do it for you, but it kinda feels selfish too.
Haley- The Mean Girl With a Heart of Gold

Haley begins as the bone who makes you feel like proletariat for not dressing in developer. She’s shallow, hypercritical, and believes husbandry is beneath her. But bear with it, and she ends up growing on you. The character growth is factual with this bone. She evolves from mean girl to a person who cares about you. Yet, she’s no way gonna find her ultimate happiness in a small city. This girl needs to be in the megacity, and outside, you both know that.
Alex- Hot But Complicated

Alex is easily the most traditionally good- looking choice, and he is apprehensive of it. He is got that jock thing going on- not really offensive, but veritably tone- centered. And his favorite particulars are precious beforehand- game, so luck with making musketeers with him prior to time three.
He is got depth if you get to know him, though it’s work. And unfeignedly, he and Haley earn each other if you do not love them both. They are both suitable people who are into themselves.
The” Actually Enough Great” league

Emily- The Positive Vibes Queen
Emily’s just. nice to be around. While everyone differently in city is dealing with drama or being grumpy, she’s out then spreading good vibes and making art. She’s easy to find( always at the taproom), easy to befriend, and brings genuine positivity to your life.
She’s got the hippie- dippy vibe going on with contemplation and chargers, but it’s from a positive place. And she has a pet pantomimist, which is instant cool points.
Sam- The Fun Best Friend

Sam’s the kind of joe you really want to be around. He likes games, music, and skating- enough much all the cool stuff. His musketeers are great( Abigail and Sebastian are cool), and his family’s nice too.
The only debit? You sorta feel shamefaced stealing him from his band and his musketeers. He is got a good thing going on, and love seems like it would hold him back. But if you need someone to make life more pleasurable, Sam’s your joe.
Abigail- The Lift- or- Die Gal

Abigail will actually fight monsters for you. Like, literally fight monsters. With a sword. However, I’ve no idea what is, If this is not relationship pretensions.
She’s quirky but not annoying, she’s a gamer, she’s in a band, and she will not vacillate to tell you what she thinks. And she’s got the mysterious lineage thing passing( is the Wizard her father?), which makes effects intriguing.
Hands down the ultimate bachelor choice. Fight me.
The” Marry Them Right Now” Tier

Sebastian- The Emo Programmer swain
Sebastian’s got that dark, miscarrying thing going on, but in a positive way. He is a freelance programmer( so he is professed), he is a motorcycle proprietor( so he is a cool joe), and he vows to cover you( so he is nice).
He exudes huge” joe I would’ve had a crush on in high academy” vibes, and trust me? That still is effective. As a hubby, he is considerate, defensive, and indeed discusses creating bikes for your unborn children. What differently could you ask for?
Elliott- The Romantic pen

Elliott is basically what would do if a love new promoter were brought to life. Long flowing hair? Check. lyrical heart? Check. Lives in a sand cabin? Double check.
He is a musician, he plays the piano, and he is actually romantic without being exorbitantly inelegant about it. The joe has * game *. Only negative is you can not move into his cool sand house, which is a genuine missed occasion on the part of the game inventors.
Shane- The Comeback King

Shane has the topmost character development in the entire game, bar none. He begins as a total haul who has issues with depression and drunkenness, but if you play through with him, he really turns his life around.
He attends remedy, reduces alcohol consumption, and becomes this nice fellow who adores his family and his cravens. And, for perk points, marrying him earns you blue cravens, which is just a lovely little perquisite.
The elaboration from” joe who is rude to you at the store” to” devoted father and hubby” is truly gladdening. Shane’s substantiation that individualities can change, and that’s lovely.
The Bottom Line

Look, at the end of the day, you are going to marry whoever makes you happy. But if I am being honest? Shane, Elliott, or Sebastian if you want a bachelorette, or Abigail if you want a bachelor. They are the bones who’ll actually make your virtual life more. Everyone differently is great, but these four are the bones who will have you eager to return to your grange each evening.
What is your take? Did I fully get it wrong on your favorite, or are you platoon Shane like me? Let me know I enjoy mooting fictional connections far too important.
